Dili, Timor-Leste – 29 May 2026 — EMG-MRT Ilimanu, Lda. is pleased to announce the successful completion of an official site verification visit to the Ilimanu Marble Project area in Manatuto Municipality. The visit was coordinated with the support of TradeInvest Timor-Leste and attended by representatives from relevant ministries, public institutions, and government departments.

The site verification represents an important step in the company's process toward obtaining the Declaration of Benefits (DoB) under the Special Investment Agreement framework. It enabled government representatives to directly observe the project area, review the proposed development context, and understand the long-term industrial potential of the Ilimanu marble resources.

The EMG-MRT Ilimanu Marble Project is planned as an integrated marble industrial platform, combining quarry development, stone processing, local employment, skills training, and future downstream manufacturing. The project aims to support Timor-Leste's economic diversification beyond petroleum and contribute to the creation of a new non-oil industrial sector.
